This baby girl was the first girl I’ve had in the studio in almost two months (after what seemed like a very long string of boys!). I have had so many “girly” props and accessories just waiting for the perfect baby girl too! This little one was eight days old when she came for her first portrait session. She definitely made me work for the poses – who says you need a workout when you do newborn photography! She just loved being in daddy’s arms too. Outdoor portraits are becoming a favorite among my clients, and I have only one spot by my studio that is in shade in the middle of the day with the blaring desert sun so we definitely make good use of it. Enjoy your sneak peek!
I am looking forward to meeting this beautiful mom-to-be’s baby in just a few short weeks. She was such a pleasure to work with and her and her husband. As many of my clients know, I moved from Ohio just two years ago, and these clients liked my work I think because they were from Ohio too. Such a small world it is because we even knew the same people from there. She was up for anything I suggested and we were able to capture such beautiful portraits. Oh, and I called this post “Love” because of the necklace she was wearing and because I could just feel the love she and her husband have for their baby. Enjoy your sneak peek!
This handsome little guy was one of the “oldest” babies I have photographed at 20 days old. Mom had such a scary time during his delivery that they were a little later than usual when it came to having his first portraits taken. Thankfully though, both mom and baby are doing great and are together with dad as a family. He was such a great sleeper too (even better than some of the younger babies I have had!). I titled this Irish Babe because when the light hits his hair it has the most beautiful red color that there is no mistaking where his ancestors were from. Enjoy your sneak peek but there is much more in store!
