This gorgeous mom to be was simply nothing short of radiant. This was one of my last sessions here in Ohio, and this couple was up for anything I suggested. We started out with some studio shots (which I always have fun doing) and then headed out to a local park that had an absolutely gorgeous field of Queen Anne’s Lace in it. That with some evening sunlight made for a stunning setting. We ended the session with a trip to the local “beach” for the evening. I am so sad not to be able to do their newborn portraits too. I know mom of this beautiful little girl must have tons of energy as this is her fifth child! Not to mention she has two year old twin toddlers running around too. I am sure there is almost never a dull moment in their household (I say almost because we were able to have some peace and quiet for her first portraits). These twins were born a bit earlier than expected but you would never know it from their portraits! This was the first twin session that we have done in quite some time, so I must say I was a bit nervous about this one. The girls did wonderfully though and we were able to pull off a great session. It amazed me to see just how calm they were when they were posed together (mom said that the yin-yang baby pose was exactly how they were in the womb). This was an on-location session and I must say it was an ideal place to have a studio! I just loved the ivy that surrounded their home and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it (and I owe the inspiration to my good friend Lina Jarmond, another talented newborn photographer). The girls were quite smiley too (I owe part of the credit in capturing the smiles to Fran Barker,who helped out tremendously with the session). Enjoy your sneak peek!

We had so much fun photographing this little one for her very first photo session (well sort of anyway as I photographed her beautiful mommy last month). The images we captured with her and her daddy are some of my all time favorites! She was such a sleepyhead we were able to do lots of fun setups too. It was my absolute pleasure to take this little guy’s one year portraits (and some of his big brother too). I just love working with this family as they are super nice people and have been with me since the very beginning. It has been so neat to watch their family grow and expand. This little girl, at six days old, was such a sleepy one! Anyone who knows me knows that I have an “obsession” with blankets, and she certainly let me try out my new ones. When this mom-to-be told me about the incredible journey she and her husband went on to have this baby, I was simply amazed! They have waited so long for their little one. I was beyond thrilled to do their maternity portraits for them (and soon their newborn portraits). The love between her and her husband was just beautiful to photograph. It was such a pleasure to photograph this little guy at his eleven day photo session. I have always thought blend children are some of the most beautiful children I have ever seen, and he was no exception! This little guy was tipping the scales at over 9 pounds when he came for his session when he was six days old. The last baby I photographed was one of the tiniest I had seen, so it was such a surprise to photograph a baby almost twice the size! We had such a fun time at this session – mommy is a photographer too (and shares my love of Etsy) so we had much fun chatting about the photography world. They have such a beautiful family too.
