I thought I would update my much neglected (and newly redesigned!) blog with some pictures of my handsome baby boy. It is amazing just how much he changed in six months! He is such a natural in front of the camera though, that we had lots of fun taking his pictures. I love you so much, my sweet little man.

Newborn Photography | Together

These two beautiful baby girls were just eight days old when I photographed them for a dear friend of mine. Newborns are always amazing to me, and twins are even more amazing because one can already tell how bonded together they are, for they just seem so at peace when together. I was happy to be able to photograph their first fleeting moments of life, for it lasts for just a very short time and it is to be cherished forever. Many thanks to Cindy Hunsucker for helping out with the session too!

I am happy to finally update my much neglected blog with a post of my own handsome son. William was introduced into this world on April 2, 2011 and I am proud to say that our family is complete. Just as with my daughters, as soon as he came into this world it was instantaneous love, the kind of love only experienced between a mother and her child. Oh how I love looking at my beautiful son, as he just looks perfect in every way. I will love you forever and always, and I would give my life to protect you. I was happy to be able to create these images of you, and I owe many thanks to my friend Fran Barker who came all the way from Ohio to help me photograph him.

Maternity Photography | Radiant

This gorgeous mom to be was simply nothing short of radiant. This was one of my last sessions here in Ohio, and this couple was up for anything I suggested. We started out with some studio shots (which I always have fun doing) and then headed out to a local park that had an absolutely gorgeous field of Queen Anne’s Lace in it. That with some evening sunlight made for a stunning setting. We ended the session with a trip to the local “beach” for the evening. I am so sad not to be able to do their newborn portraits too. Newborn Photography | And Baby Makes Seven

I know mom of this beautiful little girl must have tons of energy as this is her fifth child! Not to mention she has two year old twin toddlers running around too. I am sure there is almost never a dull moment in their household (I say almost because we were able to have some peace and quiet for her first portraits). Newborn Photography | So Happy Together

These twins were born a bit earlier than expected but you would never know it from their portraits! This was the first twin session that we have done in quite some time, so I must say I was a bit nervous about this one. The girls did wonderfully though and we were able to pull off a great session. It amazed me to see just how calm they were when they were posed together (mom said that the yin-yang baby pose was exactly how they were in the womb). This was an on-location session and I must say it was an ideal place to have a studio! I just loved the ivy that surrounded their home and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it (and I owe the inspiration to my good friend Lina Jarmond, another talented newborn photographer). The girls were quite smiley too (I owe part of the credit in capturing the smiles to Fran Barker,who helped out tremendously with the session). Enjoy your sneak peek!

Newborn Photography | Daddy’s Girl

We had so much fun photographing this little one for her very first photo session (well sort of anyway as I photographed her beautiful mommy last month). The images we captured with her and her daddy are some of my all time favorites! She was such a sleepyhead we were able to do lots of fun setups too. And I must say that the portrait of her on the bed was definitely inspired by the very talented Baby as Art team. And again thank you to Fran Barker for helping out with the session. It was my absolute pleasure to take this little guy’s one year portraits (and some of his big brother too). I just love working with this family as they are super nice people and have been with me since the very beginning. It has been so neat to watch their family grow and expand. This little girl, at six days old, was such a sleepy one! Anyone who knows me knows that I have an “obsession” with blankets, and she certainly let me try out my new ones. Maternity Photography | Patiently Waiting

When this mom-to-be told me about the incredible journey she and her husband went on to have this baby, I was simply amazed! They have waited so long for their little one. I was beyond thrilled to do their maternity portraits for them (and soon their newborn portraits). The love between her and her husband was just beautiful to photograph. The first picture has to be one of my all-time favorites. I am definitely going to miss all the greenery once we move to Las Vegas. Enjoy your sneak peek!
